The Manchester Blog Awards will be take place on Monday the 16th (October ’06) at Urbis in Manchester.
Shortlists for the four award categories (political, personal, arts and culture, and blog of the year) are available on Manchizzle, which has been driving the event forward.
Richard Fair and I are going to be there on the evening, blogging the ceremony and recording audio for broadcast later on BBC Radio Manchester and BBC Radio 5 Live’s Pods and Blogs.
Aside from the fact that it should be a good evening for all involved, I’m personally quite excited about it because it marks the start of phase two of the BBC Manchester Blog project I’ve written about here and a lot of people have started to notice.
We’re just planning on going along, hanging out, meeting some people over a few beers, and trying to find some great people and content to send traffic to… and that’s the whole point. If you’re a cybersoc reader then be doubly sure to introduce yourself during the evening!
