bbc london appearance – tonight

I’ve just been bamboozled into being interviewed by BBC London TV News at BBC London, to be shown on BBC Kent. They’re doing a report tonight about the fall-out after some teachers became upset by reviews their students posted on RateMyTeacher.co.uk.

Why do they always phone when I’ve got the flu and am dressed in the softest, most comfortable, shirt I can find which – sadly – is going to look horrible on screen?! I’m guessing they’ll There is a small possibility they’ll post the interview here here after it’s gone out on air…

  1. Thing is, up here we’ve already got teachers getting students to blog or podcast what they, the teacher, could do better in their next lesson:

as well as how they, the students, could also change the way they worked to make things better.
This isn’t just one isolated example. In F2F situations more and more teachers are getting to see that having one’s faults is only human and that the kids might have some ideas on how to get around them.
RateMyTeachers is what kids do when their opinion is not valued so much and they want their say or, dare I say, maybe it’s all just for fun in their eyes. Tsk. Kids having fun…?
