Regular readers will know that I’m involved in a project, the BBC Manchester Blog, that I think provides an interesting and sustainable model for news and media companies wishing to engage with “user generated content” – the stuff that people create, publish and share online.
A week ago we held our first blogging workshop, where we invited people into BBC Manchester and talked about the BBC’s editorial policies, specifically with reference to what we can and can’t link to, then we did a whirlwind tour of various tools and techniques for bloggers.
Around 20 people turned up and many of them posted photos and reviews of the evening, which I tracked down using technorati, bookmarked with del.icio.us, and pulled together into a post here.
